We are always reviewing our policies and procedures we have in place to control the spread of infection.
One of the most important controls is the proper, regular washing of hands. We have shown the children how to do this a few times and we do check how well they are washing their hands.
According to Greater Glasgow Health Board another cause of the spread of ‘tummy bug’ infections is children and educators returning too quickly after a bout of diarrhoea. The Health Board recommends that pupils and educators should wait 48 hours after diarrhoea has stopped before returning to school.
